Ferrisburg is one of two northernmost towns in Addison County (Monkton is the other.) As Burlington has grown, so has Ferrisburg. It is only 25 minutes to Burlington, but has retained a very rural feel and is only minutes to downtown Vergennes. Ferrisburg extends east of Route 7 and west to Lake Champlain. There are two state parks in Ferrisburg, both on the water—Button Bay and Kingsland State Park. There is even the Little Otter Creek Waterfowl Area. The shoreline takes many sharp turns and tucks, so there are lots of points and bays that dot shoreline. Ferrisburg is home of Lake Champlain Maritime Museum and the Rokeby Museum.
