Middlebury College
Middlebury College is one of the nation's top liberal arts schools and is located right here in Middlebury, Vermont. Founded in 1800, the College has 2400 full-time students. It is an incredible asset to the town of Middlebury, and the outstanding local educational opportunities are augmented by a summer language program and the Bread Loaf School of English. Middlebury College, the hub of our vibrant community, also adds to the town's aesthetic charm with beautiful stone buildings set on a lovely campus. Living in Addison County, you will find the College can become a large part of your life. On campus you will find a wide array of cultural offerings for all, including plays, concerts, art exhibits, lectures, movies, and sporting events. In addition, the College draws many visitors and alumni to the area.
Ingrid has strong family ties to Middlebury College - both she and her husband, Woody, are graduates. Woody's mother and Ingrid's father are also Middlebury grads, as are Woody's two brothers, Ingrid's sister and two of her sisters-in-law. Now they have a nephew and nieces enrolled in the school, continuing the tradition.
Ingrid received her BA from Middlebury College in 1988. She raced for the varsity ski team and played varsity soccer for four years. In addition she spent one summer at the Japanese Language School. After graduation, Ingird lived and worked out in Colorado, coaching skiing and ski racing professionally. Because her family lived in Vermont, she returned to Middlebury and began selling real estate in 1995. In 1998 Ingrid took a job in the Middlebury Alumni and Parent programs as an events planner for Middlebury College Bicentennial Celebration. Working with the staff, faculty and students at Middlebury, as well as parents and alumni, gave her a terrific connection to the Middlebury of today. Ingrid has enjoyed reconnecting with Middlebury, seeing what has changed and what remained as she remembered it from her time as a student.
We all feel very fortunate to be able to live, work and raise our families in this beautiful state, in Middlebury's strong community, and with the exceptional opportunities that Middlebury College brings to our town.
